Dreams do come true. The story of Nowports is the story of dreams coming true.
Every day, Alfonso and Max have worked towards their dream of changing logistics for the better.
From the day when Alfonso, a curious high schooler, would pepper his parents with questions about the inner workings of their freight forwarding business.
From the day when Max, a kid from Uruguay, found a logistics company in (of all places) Kansas and reached out to them cold to work for them so he could learn logistics.
From the day when Alfonso, fresh out of high school, and Max, an aspiring software developer, went to California to take an entrepreneurship course at Stanford, which would be the start of their friendship and business partnership.
The story of Alfonso and Max is a story of working every single day to make their dreams come true.
Their non-stop pursuit of excellence and burning desire to build a massive and impactful digitally-enabled international logistics business shone bright in their eyes from the day we met in 2019.
And seeing these words – “Dream until it’s your reality” – written on a telephone pole while walking in the West Village in New York the day that Nowports signed a $60M Series B term sheet with Tiger Global (round announcement on Bloomberg here) was such a fitting tribute to two founders who have done nothing but work to turn their dreams into a reality. And the world is better off for it.
As it says at a hotel in Monterrey, Mexico, the city where Nowports is headquartered, los suenos son reales. And Alfonso and Max are making dreams become real.
Congrats to the Nowports team – and every entrepreneur out there who works day in and day out to build what they want to see in the world. I’m rooting for you every day because I know how bad you want it and how hard you work to dream your reality into existence.
